It may be 90 degrees and sticky in Michigan this week but, like everyone else, my mind is consumed with fall style. The predictions are in that chocolate brown, greens and reds will be the colors of Q3 (check out
’s trend forecast and Anna Newton’s pre-autumn style report if you want to dig in even more). I found myself going down the chocolate brown rabbit hole, specifically for a new pair of fall sneakers. I wear sneakers 95% of the time, especially into the office or even out on the weekends. My style definitely skews towards sneakers vs. anything with a heel. And the best part of the chocolate brown fad is its ability to match so many other trending colors - bright pops of colors, reds, greens, blacks, butter yellows, baby blues and denim - so versatile!Birkenstocks and Uggs will continue to be a popular choice this fall no doubt, especially anything with a suede-type fabric, but these sneakers deserve a spot in your closet. Join me, into the sneaker rabbit hole!
adidas SL 72 OG in “maroon preloved brown” - I love the subtle color variation in these, adding in maroon, butter yellow and navy to chocolate brown. The detailing on the tongue screams that you should add gold charms to the laces or pair these with chunky gold jewelry. A hot commodity, move quick if you are eyeing these.
nike cortez in baroque brown / sail / khaki - nike cortez’s are underrated, sooo comfortable, and I like the mix of fabrics (suede vibes!). These are selling out quickly but found a link on nordstrom with size options, snag em’.
alohas tb.490 rife chocolate brown leather sneaker - I haven’t tried aloha’s sneakers but I love their fun color ways and the classic look (especially the leather on the back, a great detail). I’m definitely considering these for fall.
PUMA club Ii era sneaker - worth noting that these are men's sneakers so be mindful of the sizing. I’m a sucker for a brown and buttery yellow pairing and the thicker gum sole is just enough to make these a showstopper. Found these on sale!
onitsuka tiger tokuten in beige / green - ok, not fully brown, but I loveee these! These might be my #1 pick in this whole set. A unique but on-trend look, I love the dark brown sole, I love the mix of colors, and these would pair well with so many fall color tones (denim, burgundy, black, etc).
adidas handball spezial in earth strata gum - a classic trend, but I like the lighter tone of the brown vs. the deeper brown hue we’re seeing in the others and the orange gum sole adds a pop of uniqueness.
dolce vita notice sneakers - i’ve talked about these in a previous post, but dolce vita sneakers are trending this fall and these are their highlight. I’m seeing these everywhere but they are super cute so as long as you love them, who cares!
chuck 70 canvas in dark root brown / egret / black - who doesn’t love a classic chuck? These are a style that you could get this year and wear long past this season. Mixing brown, black and cream allows these to match all of your fall and winter looks.
coolway goal brown earth - this pair is sadly sold out, but still wanted to include them in case you’d like to get on the notify list or you’re looking at this post and they are back in stock. The pop of pink is perfect for my peeps who want to hop on this trend but don’t want to be fully neutral. This new-to-me unisex brand has some really fun sneaker color ways (I’m also eyeing the marshmallow color).
Hope y’all enjoyed this quick post and found a pair you’re considering for your fall and winter wardrobe! Sneakers can last through multiple seasons and into spring, especially these fun-yet-neutral colors. Enjoy the rest of your week and have a wonderful Labor Day weekend.
